Steel Reinforcing

APS Group are a leading supplier of steel reinforcing products in Ireland and Great Britain. With years of experience in the industry, we offer high-quality galvanised steel reinforcing for use in the manufacturing of PVCu windows and doors. We have a wide range of sizes and sections in stock and can also customise new designs to suit specific requirements.

All orders of our steel reinforcements can be collected from our dedicated trade counter. Alternatively, we can deliver straight to your work site using our in-house fleet of vehicles.

The Importance of Steel Reinforcing in PVCu Windows and Doors

Steel reinforcing is one of the unsung heroes of the building industry. It provides structural strength and stability to doors and windows and reduces the risk of bowing, warping or twisting. Steel reinforcing helps the profiles maintain their strength and structural integrity, granting them longer lifespans and greater reliability.

Our galvanized steel reinforcing is specifically designed to meet the requirements of the PVCu industry. The individual sections are produced in cut lengths ranging from 500mm to 6000mm, so can be efficiently stored and transported without taking up too much room in a warehouse or van. They are compatible with a wide range of PVCu window systems and can be customised to your precise requirements.

We can also fabricate punched bars to suit a wide range of door locks on request.

Benefits of Using Steel Reinforcing

There are several advantages to using our steel reinforcing in your building projects. Firstly, the galvanised coating provides excellent corrosion resistance, ensuring that your windows and doors will withstand the test of time.

Additionally, we maintain local stock holding. We have available cut-to-size reinforcing for all major window systems. Using these bars reduces wastage by up to 7% and reduces manufacturing time spent in the factory and noise pollution within the workplace.

High-Quality Material for Superior Performance

Our steel reinforcing is produced from hot dipped galvanised mild steel slit coil. This material is known for its excellent strength and corrosion resistance. The galvanised coating provides a protective layer, preventing rust even in harsh environments.

The steel reinforcing conforms to BS 2989 1992 Z2 g275; a recognised industry standard for galvanised steel. Our commitment to using high-quality materials guarantees that our steel reinforcing will provide long-lasting structural support to your PVCu windows and doors. All sections meet British Standard tolerances, and we can work to tighter tolerances upon request.

Increased Strength And Resilience

Our steel reinforcing sections meet British Standard tolerances and can be produced to tighter tolerances upon request, ensuring precision and accuracy in your manufacturing process. With our expertise and commitment to quality, you can trust that our steel reinforcing will enhance the strength and durability of your PVCu windows and doors.

Our Environmental Commitment

We, at APS Group, are dedicated to minimising our environmental impact and promoting sustainability. We strive to source materials responsibly and implement eco-friendly practices throughout our operations. We operate a zero-waste production facility and ensure that all byproducts are either recycled or repurposed and that nothing is sent to landfill.

By using galvanised steel reinforcing, we contribute to the longevity of PVCu windows and doors, reducing the need for frequent replacements and minimising waste. Our steel reinforcing is 100% recyclable and while they have an exceptionally long lifespan, the metal can be re-used when they eventually get decommissioned.
