APS Group provides aluminium commercial solutions to all trade professionals. Our AP134 tilt and turn window system is manufactured to exacting standards and is fully compliant with all European and British building legislation.

AP134 tilt and turn windows offer a dual opening function, making them a versatile addition to commercial projects. We maintain a carefully monitored stock at our Lisburn facility and distribute it using APS Group’s own vehicles and drivers.

Enhance A Home Or Business With Our Tilt & Turn Windows

Tilt and turn windows are defined by their dual functionality and this has made them very popular in the commercial architecture industry. While they are widely used in office buildings and hotels, their versatility also makes them suitable for domestic use.

The smooth metal finish of our aluminium windows helps them to match the aesthetics of modern homes, however they can be customised to fit a more traditional decor.

Improved Insulation For Any Project

The AP134 window system benefits from an innovative, multi-chamber design. It is constructed with integral 34mm polyamide thermal break sections between inner and outer frames, enabling it to efficiently trap heat and achieve low U-values. These also add to the strength and stability of the window frame.

Materials

Our AP134 tilt and turn windows are constructed using high-quality metal. The frames are made with aluminium alloy 6063 T5 and T6, complying with the guidelines of BS 7559:2001. The system uses recycled aluminium in accordance with ISO 14001. Our aluminium profiles have a life expectancy of up to fifty years and are 100% recyclable.

The extruded aluminium offers exceptional strength for a comparatively smaller area. Consequently, it can support larger spans of glass and lets in more natural light than a comparable timber or uPVC window.

Testing

APS Group architectural aluminium windows are independently tested to current UK and European building legislation. Our AP134 tilt and turn windows achieve:

Values from 1.0W/m²K – 1.4W/m²K

Weather BS6375 Pt1:2015 + A1:2016

Operational Forces BS6375 Pt2:2009

Water tightness 1500pa Class E 1500

Air permeability 600pa Class 4

Water penetration Zero

Wind resistance 2400pa Class CE 2400

Window safety 3600pa

Basic Security BS6375 Pt3:2009 + A1:2013

Multi-Functional Aluminium Windows

The dual-opening function of tilt and turn windows gives it a variety of uses. Opening the window on the side pivot allows plenty of ventilation and also makes it easier to clean both sides. Alternatively, they can be tilted open for a more subtle airflow that retains a degree of privacy.

The window tilts inwards into the house. Consequently, these windows can be tilted open during wet weather. The rainwater will slide off and the interior will remain dry, while still allowing for a breeze from outdoors.

Aluminium is an excellent material for manufacturing windows due to its great strength and resilience. The metal frames of our AP134 tilt and turn system can be relied upon to resist any attempts at a forced break-in. The aluminium is strong enough to withstand direct impacts and the glazing is shatter resistant and durable.
