Sustainability & Commitment

At APS Group, we understand the importance of sustainable working and take our environmental responsibilities very seriously. Like all areas of our business, our roofline sector is committed to working in an ecologically friendly manner.  We continually strive to improve our processes, reduce our wider impact and work alongside companies that share our ethos.

Our Environmental Commitment

Swish Building Products, our trusted partners, have become the first UK PVC manufacturer in this sector to receive an independently verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for its cellular co-extruded profiles. The EPD, verified by the Building Research Establishment (BRE), provides a clear and transparent overview of the environmental performance and impact of these products, helping stakeholders make more informed decisions in their processes.

This achievement aligns with our shared commitment to sustainability and reducing environmental impact. Together with Swish, we are proud to support their ongoing efforts to lower their carbon footprint and contribute to a greener future.

We believe in reducing our carbon footprint as much as possible and limiting our impact on the wider world. We are accredited with ISO14001 and operate an environmental management system.  Our roofline products are all designed to be widely recyclable, and we operate a zero-waste production policy.

Recycling

At APS Group, we are proud to offer premium-quality roofline supplies without compromising our integrity. Our soffits, fascias, drainage systems and other products are all hard-wearing, reliable and efficient, but they’re also produced in a responsible way. This commitment to the wider world extends to our partnerships and transport procedures too.

Manufacturing Waste

Everything we supply from Swish Building Products has been manufactured to be recyclable, with very rare exceptions for any material needing to be sent to a landfill. Our cellular PVC roofline products typically contain around 8% of recycled material. Swish have made a notable investment into their producing waste and we’re proud to be aligned with their commitment.

Environmental Actions

As partners of Swish, APS Group fully supports the company’s commitment to reducing and refining resource usage in line with the principles of Vinyl Plus, the European PVC industry’s pledge for meaningful environmental action through 2030. We are pleased to see Swish making significant strides in this area, particularly through their increased use of recycled post-consumer waste (PCW) in rainwater products. The Epwin Group’s acquisition of Poly-Pure Ltd has been instrumental in providing greater access to this valuable resource, enabling Swish to increase its post consumer waste usage by 67%.
